Writers Boot Camp founder, Jeffrey Gordon (JG), is available a few times per year for Private Consultation with writers and filmmakers who prefer not to participate within a Basic Training roster. While group support is treated as an individual relationship and has an advantage of learning-by-analogy, we understand that privacy issues and non-disclosure priorities can motivate these preferences, and established writers, actors, and filmmakers historically have turned to this service when travel and work schedules require greater flexibility.
Private Consultation is the equivalent of the Basic Training agenda, covering support for an accelerated first-draft process and development of an initial rewrite plan, along with the writers same commitment of 10 hours per week for creative exercises and writing. A first draft is completed in the first seven weeks and then two stages of rewriting. JG personally assists in the development of the writer’s idea and story, and evaluates the drafts. Additional support and fee arrangements may be made for full-time writers and shorter studio and network deadlines.
