Please join us for a conversation with Executive Producer, Jim Hecht, the co-creator of the hit TV series, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.

 

Writers Boot Camp Founder, Jeffrey Gordon, will moderate this one-on-one interview with Mr. Hecht to discuss the origin of the concept, the process that brought it to production, and the specific creative decisions involved in adapting for television the history of the iconic Showtime Lakers (though the series is on HBO). The highly-acclaimed casting choices will be a natural topic covered.

 

Having worked his way up from the trenches of television production, Jim Hecht is a veteran writer in many formats, primarily animation and family fare. His writing credits include Fairly OddParents, the movie ICE AGE 2: THE MELTDOWN, the 25-minute animated short, ICE AGE, THE GREAT EGG SCAPADE, and recently, THE ICE ADVENTURES OF BUCK WILD.

 

There will be ample time for audience Q&A, prioritizing questions sent in advance by Pro Members and Basic Training alumni.
