Join Writers Boot Camp Founder, Jeffrey Gordon (JG) in conversation with Michael Kagan, accomplished Literary Manager and Producer at Range Media Partners, which happens to be located across from our new HQ at Bergamot Station.
As a manager, Michael represents a range of writer/showrunners & directors, including Jenji Kohan (Weeds, Orange Is The New Black), Misha Green (Lovecraft Country), Ildy Modrovich (Lucifer), Christian Linke (Arcane), Meredith Lavender & Marcie Ulin (Flight Attendant), Steven Lilien & Bryan Wynbrandt (La Brea, Quantum Leap), Lukas Reiter (The Blacklist) and Amy Harris (The Wilds).
On the producing front, Michael has been responsible for identifying, packaging and selling a number of properties which are set up at platforms including Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Paramount+ & HBO. In addition to traditional film & TV deals, Michael has established himself in the podcast space, recently closing a large partnership deal with AudioUp Media on behalf of client Bradley Cooper.
Michael began his career working in the digital group at UTA and then transitioned to the literary group at CAA, where he worked for a senior literary agent and then the department head. He then followed Peter Micelli to eOne where he was promoted to an executive in the TV development department. A graduate of Indiana University, Michael has degrees in Psychology and Sociology.
