How It Breaks Down
The program requires a 10-hour weekly
commitment to your creative work in addition to scheduled sessions. In
return, you will learn to stimulate your creative process, increase productivity
and become a confident authority on your own writing. Over the course of the
program, you will fully develop 3 to 5 feature and/or television scripts. But
more importantly you will become part of a unique community of peers that will
support, inspire and constructively critique your body of work as it
evolves.

Think Tank consists of 12 initial
intensive weekly sessions where you will learn a new approach to concept and
rewriting tools, enabling you to brainstorm more effectively, reduce wasteful
outlining, prevent premature editing and submission, and fully realize your own
ideas.
For the next three six-month cycles,
instructor-guided Peer Group sessions meet every other week to assign work,
ignite crucial conceptual breakthroughs, and help you monitor your progress.
The
process of offering criticism to fellow writers is as productive and educational
as receiving it. During the course of the 2 years, you will also receive 4
development staff script evaluations and conferences to give you highly
personalized, professional responses to your work.
What Else To Expect
While your main focus is on scheduled
sessions and at-home writing time, Think Tank also includes some extra
privileges:
Speaker Series - Industry professionals (writers,
agents, producers, executives) address intimate groups on important current
issues both live and online.
Script Reading Series - Monthly readings, cast with
actors, further test the impact of your writing within the Peer Group.
Fellowship
Opportunities - When your script is
deemed ready, it will be eligible for further development within our network of
producers and industry affiliates.
